Root customers affected by non-weather emergencies
Many state insurance departments are implementing new policies around payment grace periods and extensions. This may mean that different options are available to different customers, depending on the state you live in. We are working quickly and closely with each state to implement these new policies. As the situation continues, regular updates will be posted here. If your state is not listed below, then COVID/non-weather emergency related payment options or grace periods are unavailable at this time.

Effective October 2, 2020
Root Insurance is offering the following support to our customers who live in the state of Ohio:
The Ohio Department of Insurance Interim Director, Tynesia Dorsey, has issued Bulletin 2020-12 on October 2, 2020 to replace Bulletin 2020-07 issued on March 30, 2020. Root is working with the Department of Insurance to make reasonable accommodations to prevent individuals from losing coverage due to non-payment of premium. If you have been negatively impacted by COVID-19 in the state of Ohio, Root may be able to help.
